STORY

Story of the series

Janice Payne, a doctor, discovers her husband Karl Brooks's affair with Joyce Gordon on her birthday. Karl seeks a "temporary" divorce, which Janice accepts as permanent. Janice then learns she is the long-lost daughter of the wealthy Reed family. Declan Gilbert, a powerful CEO and her family's arranged fiancé, repeatedly saves her from danger and professional sabotage, eventually buying her hospital. Karl attempts reconciliation, but Janice, now independent and revealing her identity as the "Ghost-Hand Healer," rejects him. She faces continuous harassment from Joyce and Gwen, but her brothers and Declan protect her, leading to her adversaries' downfall. Janice's former mother-in-law realizes Janice's past sacrifices. At a hospital gala, Joyce and Gwen try to humiliate Janice, but Declan intervenes, and their plan backfires. Janice begins to develop feelings for the consistently supportive Declan.
