Love from the Moutains

Lysandra’s mother, Thalassa, was once a wealthy young lady abducted and forced to live in a remote mountain village. When Lysandra was seven, Thalassa’s family finally tracked her down and brought her back home. However, years of brutal abuse at the hands of Lysandra’s father had left Thalassa with severe psychological trauma—she would have violent emotional breakdowns at the slightest provocation. This led everyone in the family dislike Lysandra, as she bore the blood of the man who had tormented their beloved daughter. Gradually, Lysandra herself came to believe she never belonged in her mother’s world. Though mother and daughter clung to their love for each other, they drifted further apart as the years passed.
