Story of the series
Arthur Sterling wakes up to find a scantily clad beauty in his arms. Before he can rejoice, Duke Edward Sterling bursts in, accusing Arthur of assaulting Edward’s fiancée. Arthur realizes he has time-traveled to Valoria, becoming the despised, useless Crown Heir! Facing this blatant frame-up, Arthur refuses to back down. He exposes the lie and summons his eunuch attendant to testify. To his shock, The Crown Estate has been entirely bought off by Duke Edward—everyone is a mole! Enraged, Arthur strikes down the traitor with his sword and slaps Duke Edward. Expecting a fight to the death, he discovers a pleasant surprise: he has unlocked The Prestige System, allowing him to buy modern weapons with prestige points! Now, planes, cannons, and firearms are at his disposal. Furious about the slap, Duke Edward vows to impeach Arthur at the morning court. The next day, Duke Edward and his cronies pressure the throne. The weak King wants to protect Arthur but lacks real power. Armed with his system, Arthur feels invincible. Right in the royal court, he uses modern weapons to ruthlessly execute the traitors, taking the reins on his father’s behalf to purge the realm! Failing his first plot, Duke Edward preys on superstition, claiming the ten-year drought is due to the Crown Heir’s lack of virtue and that he has lost The Celestial Mandate! Arthur shatters this myth by creating artificial rain! Just as he prepares to finish off Duke Edward’s faction, arrogant foreign envoys arrive. It turns out Duke Edward is colluding with them to rebel. At the critical moment, Arthur turns the tide, saving the nation, wiping out the rebels and foreign foes, and restoring Valoria’s glory!
