Reprieved Heart

Commoner girl Mira, in order to save her kidnapped mother, is brought before the Empire's Commander Cassian on charges of stealing a noble's gemstone. She is originally to be thrown into a snake pit, but her death sentence is postponed after she revives a dying dragon egg, making her the egg's exclusive caretaker. Hiding the secret of having been saved in her childhood, she probes him step by step. The cold and stern Cassian, amid their push-and-pull confrontations, gradually finds himself distracted from his years-long obsession with the queen. Between suspicion and testing, undercurrents surge between the two, and a tangled affair interwoven with conspiracy and true feelings begins to unfold.
