STORY

Story of the series

Modern office worker Seraphina wakes up in ancient times as the bride of the Shen family, the wealthiest clan, sent into an auspicious marriage to their sickly heir after the old master’s death. In the original story, the family is ruled by four fierce mothers-in-law, while her family replaces her with their adopted daughter. Determined to secure a life of luxury, she plays along—only to discover her frail husband is faking his illness and hiding a dangerous secret identity. Surrounded by rival mothers-in-law, she tries to survive the chaos, until he corners her: “Tonight’s task: produce an heir.”
