Qin Zhengshu is known as the "Grim Reaper of the Law," with a flawless track record in court. Duan Chengzhou, son of Longcheng's wealthiest magnate Duan Hairong, stands accused of rape and hires Qin Zhengshu to secure a not-guilty verdict. Meanwhile, after learning that Qin has taken his case, Duan Chengzhou spots Qin Hao—Qin Zhengshu’s son—and his pregnant wife Li Qing at a hot pot restaurant.
