STORY

Story of the series

Charlotte, a lowly dragon slave, is forced to serve as the Queen’s nightly substitute for Dragon King Blake. Though she begs for his mark, he sees her only as a disposable toy. Trapped and abused, she chooses to escape by forming a soul bond with the dying royal heir Kevin—even if it means guarding his body forever. Shocked by her choice, Blake begins to regret his cruelty. As Charlotte cares for Kevin, his health revives and loyal feelings grow between them. Meanwhile, the Queen’s schemes collapse, and Blake’s obsession with Charlotte spirals. But Charlotte’s heart has moved on. She finds protection and respect with Kevin, leaving the Dragon King to drown in irreversible regret.
