STORY

Story of the series

Lu Yang, moved by the heartfelt pleas of the entire village coming together to plead with him, softened his resolve and decided to return to his hometown to invest in its future. He aimed to help the villagers escape poverty and achieve prosperity. However, he never anticipated their betrayal. The villagers, who stabbed him in the back after he helped them, not only refused to share dividends with Lu Yang—the person who had invested the most—but even demanded that he cover additional losses out of his own pocket. Faced with such injustice and the villagers' hypocritical and ungrateful faces, Lu Yang could no longer bear it. In retaliation, he shut down the water purification plant that he had painstakingly built, completely severing the village's access to clean water. Now, with their water source gone, what will happen to the villagers? Will Lu Yang eventually forgive them? The answers remain unclear.
