The Wife Who Walked Away

Stella discovers her husband Marc's affair with Haley, prompting her to apply for a classified research project to escape her marriage. She confronts Marc and Haley multiple times, exposing Marc's deceit and her resolve for divorce. Marc, desperate to retain Stella's valuable patent for his struggling company (linked to Haley's family), attempts to manipulate her into staying and having a baby. Stella, however, is determined to leave, burning their past and withdrawing her patent. She has several awkward encounters with William Briggs, a prominent researcher, who initially misjudges her. Marc grows suspicious of Stella's actions and her connection to William. Haley and Marc's mother, Jazlyn, try to force Stella into a divorce, but Stella stands firm. After a tense meeting, Stella is attacked in an elevator, narrowly escaping. William, having learned of Stella's scientific prowess, begins to see her in a new light.
